For 135 years, the Woman's Board of Rush University Medical Center has been making a difference in the lives of Chicago residents through its community projects. The Woman's Board has been a longstanding supporter of the Rush Community Service Initiative Program, or RCSIP, through annual appropriations funding to provide community-based volunteer experiences for more than 1,500 Rush University students annually.
In 2019, a $500,000 endowment gift by the Woman's Board will support an ongoing legacy of RCSIP teaching, volunteerism and health care services by providing Rush University students, faculty and physicians long-term resources for more than 37 unique programs. Further propelling these programs, the gift will expand access to health care services, providing health and prevention education, and conducting health care pipeline programs for more than 10,000 Chicago residents annually (ages three and above). Programs are currently prioritized in three strategic areas: access programs, health education and promotion programs, and outreach programs.
We hope that you will join us in supporting this important initiative. Thank you for your consideration!
